Nossa História.

The root "skop" comes from the Greek "skopeîn", which means "to look at" or "vision", which originated the name Scopus; and having a technological vision does not resume to the modernity of the provided systems and services, but is above all, the understanding of clients' objectives and goals and proposing the most adequate solution for each necessity.



In order to understand Scopus' importance in the Brazilian technological scenario, take a look at its history. Established in 1975 by the same generation of engineers that developed, together with Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, the first Brazilian computer. A few years later, it developed the first national video terminals.



In the early 80's, with the development of a data input system based on an 8-bit microcomputer, Scopus established its entry in microcomputer technology.

In the 90's, the company began to provide services in Information Technology, such as support and maintenance, especially standing out in post-sales support, technical assistance and system development and integration.

1996 was a milestone in the company's history.

By developing a secure online banking transaction system for Bradesco, Scopus enabled the bank to become the fifth in the world and the first in Latin America to make Internet Banking available for its clients – following the strictest global standards for data security. Later, in 1998, Scopus faced another challenge and also became a pioneer in the development of safe payment systems via Internet.

Scopus expanded during the 00's, being present in all Brazilian states, and with capillarity to provide services to any of the more than 5,500 Brazilian municipalities. In 2005, with its own LMS, COL (Online Courses) was launched with the objective of training and disseminating knowledge to a vast number of collaborators in a short period of time. The training programs can be remotely conducted at any and from any place. And in order to complement the online training, there are also onsite training programs, where the collaborators put everything that was taught during the online courses into practice.

In 2009, we conducted 37 thousand hours of online Training Courses, which stand out as one of Scopus' major differentials.



With its expressive investment policy in research and new technologies, Scopus is part of a select group, dedicated to guarantee the security of data and financial resources through the Internet, by means of business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) solutions, besides applications for the financial market and system security
